THE HARBOUR OF AMPURIABRAVA

On entering the harbour, you will find all the services you require. The harbour can accommodate boats of over 25m. in length, and has more than 500 moorings ( all with water, electricity and other services), fuel pumps, slipway, two cranes with 10 MT capacity and a 50 MT travelift.

The traffic average is around 200 boats per day, and several boat supply shops operate here. It is also an important sea- fishing centre, located in one of the world’s major areas of giant tuna fishing.

Our harbour also has sailing and diving schools, and a social club with squash, sauna, gymnasium, swimming-pool, jakuzzi, etc. There are 35 commercial establishments of all kinds, in addition to medical and postal services, offering you all you need for your visit to the Harbour of Ampuriabrava.

THE MARINA OF AMPURIABRAVA

Between the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà (Empordà Marshes) and the Gulf of Roses, within the municipal limits of Castelló d’Empúries, lies a village which is unique in the Mediterranean. Constructed along 37 km of canals, lined by magnificent houses and over 5.000 moorings for exclusive use, the Marina of Ampuriabrava is the largest residential marina in Europe, with 100.000 residents in summer, and always blends activity and enjoyment with the peace and quiet you are looking for.

The Marina of Ampuriabrava extends over more than 8 km2 of combined social and private areas. Here you will find a large, fully-equipped sports harbour which has everything for you and your boat: customs post, houses and boats for hire, 15 boat supply shops, pubs, discotheques, restaurants, social club, gymnasium, and everything else required to guarantee you an enjoyable stay.

LOCATION OF THE MARINA

The marina is located at the north-eastern point of the Iberian Peninsula, half-way between the Côte d’Azur in France, 185 miles, and the Balearic Islands, 160 miles, and has the following coordinates: 42º 14’ 16’’ N / 3º 8’ E .
The canals are truly beautiful, and the houses along their banks are a great attraction for the visitor. Why not enjoy one of them ?

COSTA BRAVA

The Costa Brava is situated on the coast of Girona and is an area that combines seductive scenery with towns of great tourist attraction.

The Costa Brava is a coastline with a rugged relief, due to the meeting between a series of mountain ranges and the sea, which gives rise to a prodigious multiplicity of shapes, with small hidden coves, cliffs and pine forests right down to the sea shore and long sandy beaches.

This scenic variety is combined with very modern installations for the treatment of waste-water.

The high number of blue flags that are awarded by the European Union makes the Costa Brava one of the coastal tourist resorts with the highest level of sanitary quality, with waters so clear that they have become an inseparable feature of the tourism.

On the Costa Brava you will find monuments of great historic value: prehistoric relics, the remains of Greek and Roman civilisations, examples of mediaeval architecture as well as of Modernism, and the important Romanesque route.

Apart from all this, the great diversity of scenery and the climate means that the Costa Brava is the ideal place to practise almost all kinds of sports: ride, tennis, golf, basketball, bike, go by plane, parachute jump, diving, surfing, trekking, etc.
